As our community continues to be ravaged by drug overdoses, CAA desires to develop a long term residential inpatient treatment scholarship system for the Louisville area, similar to Operation UNITE in Southeast KY. For $5000, a client could access long term residential recovery (90 days to 11 months depending on the facility. Many of the facilities are already vetted through Operation UNITE).
One of the largest barriers to treatment is accessibility due to lack of funds. Most families are very limited in their financial resources to cover such expenses, and health insurance companies currently only pay a minimum amount of days for inpatient residential cost. Some insurance may cover up to two weeks, 30 days at the most.
As many families understand, those with chronic years of using substances may require up to a year of residential recovery. Our goal is to implement a scholarship program for those families and individuals needing long term residential recovery.
Would you consider a sponsorship, so a man or woman could have the benefit of long term recovery?
